Spectators: 7519 (Terracing: 5640, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Stiller in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ture Barth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Maik Grassow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ture Barth was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Ulrich Rzepka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Barth having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, FC Simon 1978's Wolfgang Schrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Mach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wolfgang Schrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Mach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Andi Gerstner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Simon 1978's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andi Gerstner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andi Gerstner might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Mach. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andi Gerstner ran back to his position shaking his head. Mel Reck took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ture Barth. Ture Barth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in FC Simon 1978's zone, Heini Ziegel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ture Barth came out of the goal and Heini Ziegel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ture Barth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maik Grassow in the 43rd minute of the match. Maik Grassow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When David Stiller came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the FC Bayern fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Stiller couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maik Grassow made a kick off. Maik Grassow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Barth having to interfere. If Maik Grassow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ture Barth had great luck who in the 69thth minute grab hold of the ball when Maik Grassow from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 71st minute, Mel Reck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Simon 1978's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Maik Grassow 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 80th minute, FC Bayern's Mel Reck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ture Barth. Ture Barth yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. David Stiller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wolfgang Schrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hugo Mach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andi Gerstner struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Hugo Mach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Simon 1978. 92 minutes into the match, FC Bayern's David Stiller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ture Barth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Stiller got free with Ture Barth in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The FC Simon 1978 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Bayern were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
