Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Wolfgang Schrade started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in FC Simon 1978's zone, Raphael Klinkisch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ture Barth came out of the goal and Raphael Klinkisch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Jan Teufel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ture Barth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan Teufel went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jan Teufel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Barth having to interfere. Heinrich Moos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolfgang Schrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Jan Teufel fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Osterode Am Fallstein FSV's protests and gave Jan Teufel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Simon 1978 booed when Osterode Am Fallstein FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Teufel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ture Barth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gary Juch in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Osterode Am Fallstein FSV getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Lorenz Rupp hit a great ball. FC Simon 1978's Ture Barth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Teufel in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Jan Teufel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ture Barth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 33rd minute Wolfgang Schrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heinrich Moos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Gary Juch notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Simon 1978's Ture Barth. Ture Barth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Heinrich Moos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolfgang Schrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Georg Fuhrmann with Robert Stadtbäumer as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After the first half Osterode Am Fallstein FSV were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute Andi Gerstner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heinrich Moos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes of play, FC Simon 1978's Karl Zylajew made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heinrich Moos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 56 minutes, Jan Teufel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Osterode Am Fallstein FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Teufel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Georg Fuhrmann kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jan Teufel hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, FC Simon 1978's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Teufel came free, but Ture Barth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenz Rupp charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenz Rupp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Simon 1978 booed when Osterode Am Fallstein FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenz Rupp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Wolfgang Schrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Heinrich Moos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Osterode Am Fallstein FSV fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Osterode Am Fallstein FSV's Jan Teufel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lorenz Rupp kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Tobias Juratovic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Heinrich Moos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ture Barth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raphael Klinkisch in the 86th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see FC Simon 1978 lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
