The tension between the Stuttgart and the Eutscheid players grew even worse after the yellow card. 5 minutes into the match, Stuttgart's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Mussauer came free, but Volker Böhland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Lester Felich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stuttgart's supporters rose to their feet, but Lester Felich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Fehr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes in the game, Conny Vogel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fabian Fehr having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Robin Mussauer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eutscheid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Mussauer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Mussauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Volker Böhland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jochen Jeske kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Eutscheid getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Björn Schaede hit a great ball. Fabian Fehr made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Lester Felich sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd match minute, Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zlatko Rieth to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Ingo Vogelsänger sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stuttgart's Volker Böhland didn't even have to move. The audience was convinced that Björn Schaede's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Volker Böhland was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 40th minute Conny Vogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Fehr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Björn Schaede stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eutscheid's Fabian Fehr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Vogel in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Eutscheid walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
