Eduard Stein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siegmund Splett having to interfere. In the 14th minute of the match Damir Wicklein shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Siegmund Splett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alban Schweizer in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siegmund Splett saved 1.FC Union Berlin from getting behind. Andreas von Gartzen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remo Marks made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Lütke in the 23rd minute. 1.FC Union Berlin's Siegmund Splett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alban Schweizer in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, 1.FC Union Berlin's Elvis Freese got a free kick in the 26th minute. Ochtersum's Remo Marks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Lütke in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas von Gartzen in the 33rd minute of play forced Ochtersum's goalkeeper Remo Marks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siegmund Splett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alban Schweizer in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Predrag Selinger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andreas von Gartzen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andreas von Gartzen was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Sebastian Lütke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1.FC Union Berlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Lütke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Lütke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Remo Marks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Sebastian Lütke notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ochtersum's Remo Marks. Remo Marks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Alban Schweizer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Ochtersum fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Ochtersum's Eduard Stein looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marc Elser hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 74 played minutes, 1.FC Union Berlin's Raphael Kern shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remo Marks came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 1.FC Union Berlin reached it. In the 77th match minute, Ochtersum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Böttcher to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ochtersum getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rene Böttcher hit a great ball. With his leg Siegmund Splett managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Ochtersum's Eduard Stein fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Remo Marks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Lütke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andreas von Gartzen in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remo Marks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Siegmund Splett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alban Schweizer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 minutes, Rico Polzer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1.FC Union Berlin and the Ochtersum players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Ochtersum players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
