CF Nürnberg Kickers's Hans Süßmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Klock in the 10th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Montgomery Yost cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hans Süßmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the game, Petershütte's Sean Glatzel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hans Süßmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Karl Klock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Süßmann having to interfere. Karl Klock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Montgomery Yost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Marcus Frieters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes CF Nürnberg Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Frieters. The supporters of Petershütte booed when CF Nürnberg Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Schuster didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Karl Klock made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Montgomery Yost in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Süßmann saved CF Nürnberg Kickers from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Karl Klock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petershütte's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Klock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Süßmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hans Süßmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Klock in the 60th minute of the match. CF Nürnberg Kickers's Hans Süßmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montgomery Yost in the 61st minute of play. CF Nürnberg Kickers's Elmar Seckel got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Petershütte's zone, Gerd Schall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Meiniger came out of the goal and Gerd Schall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Axel Schuster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Montgomery Yost sped through CF Nürnberg Kickers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hans Süßmann. Karl Klock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Süßmann having to make a save. 82 minutes into the match, CF Nürnberg Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Montgomery Yost came free, but Hans Süßmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl Klock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Hans Süßmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petershütte's Karl Klock got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Montgomery Yost came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Petershütte fans jumped to their feet. The audience was convinced that Karl Klock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hans Süßmann was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Montgomery Yost in the 100th minute of play forced CF Nürnberg Kickers's goalkeeper Hans Süßmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petershütte's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
