In the 7th minute of the match Theophil Süss sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans Süßmann skillfully saved the ball. Stuttgart's attack was well implemented in the 18th minute, but when Conny Vogel was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Hans Süßmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lester Felich in the 44th minute of the match. CF Nürnberg Kickers's Hans Süßmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatko Rieth in the 49th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conny Vogel to strike the kick off in the second half. Hanno Köhler tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Hans Süßmann. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 53rd minute. Hans Süßmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conny Vogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Conny Vogel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stuttgart's supporters rose to their feet, but Conny Vogel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Süßmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the game, Stuttgart's Lester Felich nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hans Süßmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Stuttgart's Conny Vogel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hans Süßmann. That made the score 0-3 after 65 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, CF Nürnberg Kickers's Marcus Frieters got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conny Vogel in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Süßmann saved CF Nürnberg Kickers from getting behind. If Lester Felich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conny Vogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Hans Süßmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conny Vogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Süßmann having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Lester Felich left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stuttgart fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Adé Remse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hans Süßmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elmar Seckel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The CF Nürnberg Kickers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stuttgart were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
