In the 22nd minute of the match Martin Sandt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Siegmund Splett skillfully saved the ball. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Roberto Scharfscheer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rixbeck FC's Renatus Fritzen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvis Freese in the 28th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, 1.FC Union Berlin's Andreas von Gartzen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renatus Fritzen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elvis Freese in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renatus Fritzen saved Rixbeck FC from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roberto Scharfscheer made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Raphael Kern sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renatus Fritzen skillfully saved the ball. Simon Brachvogel hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Andreas von Gartzen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Simon Brachvogel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rixbeck FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1.FC Union Berlin the free kick. A collision led to Rixbeck FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Simon Brachvogel hit a great ball. Matthias Specht hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Siegmund Splett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Scharfscheer in the 70th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Roberto Scharfscheer put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Siegmund Splett. In the 75thth minute of the game Elvis Freese who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rixbeck FC's Renatus Fritzen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Rixbeck FC defense, Andreas von Gartzen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renatus Fritzen. The Rixbeck FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renatus Fritzen should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Andreas von Gartzen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Renatus Fritzen. That made the score 1-6 in the 87 minute of play. Siegmund Splett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Laier in the 92nd minute of the match. Rixbeck FC's Renatus Fritzen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Rixbeck FC from getting a goal against them. Elvis Freese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded 1.FC Union Berlin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rixbeck FC.
