Renatus Fritzen was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Pal Breiffel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pal Breiffel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The supporters of Odelzhausen booed when Rixbeck FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Specht didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Laier in the 28th minute of play forced Odelzhausen's goalkeeper Kay Bentz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30th play minutes Robby Trunschke shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Renatus Fritzen and just under the crossbar into goal. Renatus Fritzen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roberto Scharfscheer was the one to do the kick off. Renatus Fritzen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Rixbeck FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Matthias Specht hit a great ball. Robby Trunschke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renatus Fritzen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Melzer in the 67th minute of play. Roberto Scharfscheer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kay Bentz having to interfere. When Robby Trunschke came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Odelzhausen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robby Trunschke couldn't finish the play. Odelzhausen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
