The supporters of CF Andanka booed when Benrath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pete Garnschröder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fritz-Wilhelm Rüppel hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Manuel Faller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Schlebusch in the 16th minute of play. Maurice Jackisch struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Götz Rohmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF Andanka. With a little luck, CF Andanka's Manuel Faller got control of the ball when Gianni Scherrmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurice Jackisch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Götz Rohmann having to interfere. Götz Rohmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Diederich, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, CF Andanka's Manuel Faller got control of the ball when Gianni Scherrmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Pete Garnschröder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Benrath fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Manuel Faller was a little too slow when Emil Schlebusch got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. CF Andanka's Dario Kritzer got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CF Andanka's Manuel Faller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Schlebusch in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Abdelaziz Kobitzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Schlebusch charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Schlebusch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Diederich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Kevin Diederich reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Götz Rohmann. The goal made the score 2-2. Benrath's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Kevin Diederich scored to the left of an out of position Götz Rohmann, making the score, 2-3. 66 minutes into the match, Knut Berntsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Faller. CF Andanka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Knut Berntsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Knut Berntsen charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Knut Berntsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Corvin Brombach came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the CF Andanka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corvin Brombach couldn't finish the play. Maurice Jackisch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Götz Rohmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The CF Andanka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Dario Kritzer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Götz Rohmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Götz Rohmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Diederich in the 83rd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, CF Andanka's goal looked a bit too open when Pete Garnschröder came free, but Manuel Faller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CF Andanka's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Diederich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Götz Rohmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Schlebusch in the 95th minute of play forced CF Andanka's goalkeeper Manuel Faller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Benrath fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CF Andanka were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
