Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Grabower FC's Till Töpfer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Austin Brüggmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jimmy Pelzer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kassian Knapp went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Andre Görtzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Pelzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Görtzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Austin Brüggmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Till Töpfer in the 23rd minute of play. Marpingen FC's Kassian Knapp got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andre Görtzen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Marpingen FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 34 minutes into the match, Marpingen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Till Töpfer came free, but Austin Brüggmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jimmy Pelzer managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Marpingen FC's Kassian Knapp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 40 minutes into the match, Grabower FC's goalkeeper Jimmy Pelzer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kassian Knapp. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Grabower FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Siegfried Meist was slow to take the kick. During this time Marpingen FC's players had a chance to rest. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andre Görtzen to make the kick off. Kassian Knapp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Pelzer having to interfere. When Marpingen FC's Andre Görtzen in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grabower FC's goalie prevented a goal. Till Töpfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Austin Brüggmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Till Töpfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Grabower FC booed when Marpingen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter-Stefan Seelenbinder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austin Brüggmann was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Till Töpfer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Till Töpfer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Jimmy Pelzer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kassian Knapp's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andre Görtzen in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmy Pelzer saved Grabower FC from getting behind. Viktor Klobke charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viktor Klobke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Marpingen FC booed when Grabower FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Klobke didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute Marpingen FC were awarded a corner. Siegfried Meist went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Raphael Fickert to score against Jimmy Pelzer in Grabower FC's goal. 2-1 after 88 minutes. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marpingen FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grabower FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
