A hard shot by Wulf Bulling from long distance, 8 minutes into the match, got Niklas Freiherr's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mathias Siebert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Ortkemper having to interfere. If Baldur Goldkuhle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mutten FC's Gernot Breddermann in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mettnau's goalie prevented a goal. Mutten FC's Viktor Ortkemper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Siebert in the 23rd minute of play. With his leg Niklas Freiherr managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Mutten FC's Arnold Senekowitsch fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Mutten FC's zone, Mathias Siebert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Ortkemper came out of the goal and Mathias Siebert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldur Goldkuhle took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktor Ortkemper. Viktor Ortkemper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Till Feye hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Mathias Siebert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Viktor Ortkemper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Mettnau's Niklas Freiherr got control of the ball when Arnold Senekowitsch tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gernot Breddermann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Gernot Breddermann notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mettnau's Niklas Freiherr. Niklas Freiherr was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Niklas Freiherr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Senekowitsch in the 57th minute of the match. Niklas Freiherr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernot Breddermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Gernot Breddermann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnold Senekowitsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Freiherr having to interfere. In the 69th minute Arnold Senekowitsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Freiherr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mettnau's Niklas Freiherr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold Senekowitsch in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernot Breddermann in the 73rd minute of play forced Mettnau's goalkeeper Niklas Freiherr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Arnold Senekowitsch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niklas Freiherr. Mettnau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnold Senekowitsch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Viktor Ortkemper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Siebert, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Gernot Breddermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernot Breddermann struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Niklas Freiherr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mutten FC. Mutten FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wulf Bulling in the 97th minute. Mettnau's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
