Gerd-Peter Kafka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximilian Surmann having to interfere. Gerd-Peter Kafka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Maximilian Surmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximilian Surmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerd-Peter Kafka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Arnulf Wölfle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugen Wentzel. In the 29th minute Gerd-Peter Kafka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilian Surmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Eugen Wentzel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kümmern FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugen Wentzel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulf Wölfle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Immanuel Haubold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored Alemannia Aachen's protests and gave Stanislaw Pommerenke a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kümmern FC booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislaw Pommerenke didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Herwig Friedmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnulf Wölfle was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Arnulf Wölfle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Wentzel in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alemannia Aachen's zone, Herwig Friedmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulf Wölfle came out of the goal and Herwig Friedmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Kümmern FC booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislaw Pommerenke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herwig Friedmann scored 1-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulf Wölfle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eugen Wentzel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herwig Friedmann took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnulf Wölfle. Arnulf Wölfle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.
