Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Martin Birke took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Albin Knopp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albin Knopp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Martin Birke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 18 minutes, Paul Welz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arnum Strikers and the Barcelona Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Arnum Strikers's Paul Welz got a free kick in the 18th minute. Barcelona Juniors's Albin Knopp got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jörg Wonsak made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Marko Heinzelmann sent off a good shot on target. When Arnum Strikers's Henrik Zocholl in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barcelona Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. Barcelona Juniors's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Henrik Zocholl 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Arnum Strikers's zone, Albin Knopp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Spike Gruteser came out of the goal and Albin Knopp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Albin Knopp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcelona Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albin Knopp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Henrik Zocholl made the kick off in the second half. Axel Elsner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jörg Wonsak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Martin Birke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jörg Wonsak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Heinzelmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Albin Knopp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Axel Elsner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albin Knopp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spike Gruteser having to interfere. Jörg Wonsak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Zocholl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Arnum Strikers support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
