Spectators: 5500 (Terracing: 4300, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 0) Manfred Lieven started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. But to his dismay, Gerd-Peter Kafka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thomas van der Walt hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Gerd-Peter Kafka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alemannia Aachen's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerd-Peter Kafka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerd-Peter Kafka made a kick off. Immanuel Haubold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Volker Ahrens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
