After a rather tough play, Strooterhörn FSV's Oliver Rupp got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Henning Elmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klemens Aicher in the 4th minute of play. Klemens Aicher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Backenberg booed when Strooterhörn FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Töpperwien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henning Elmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klemens Aicher, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Backenberg's Klemens Aicher in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Strooterhörn FSV's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Meister in the 15th minute of play forced Strooterhörn FSV's goalkeeper Henning Elmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klemens Aicher in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henning Elmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henning Elmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Barges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes Strooterhörn FSV got a freekick which was hit by Jan Petzold. Klemens Aicher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Elmer having to interfere. Marcel Barges might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henning Elmer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Barges ran back to his position shaking his head. Henning Elmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klemens Aicher in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Ismael Meister notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Strooterhörn FSV's Henning Elmer. Henning Elmer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Till Kuhnert's late challenge caught a Strooterhörn FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Till Kuhnert helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Backenberg got a freekick which was hit by Till Kuhnert. Klemens Aicher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Elmer having to interfere. Henning Elmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Beneyto Arago, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Henning Elmer went to the wrong direction when Horst Dettke was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The supporters of Strooterhörn FSV booed when Backenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Barges didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Klemens Aicher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henning Elmer was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half Backenberg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcel Barges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Fred Töpperwien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henning Elmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klemens Aicher in the 73rd minute. Henning Elmer made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Klemens Aicher sent off a good shot on target. Till Kuhnert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Henning Elmer made a huge save. After 76th play minutes Till Kuhnert shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Henning Elmer and just under the crossbar into goal. Strooterhörn FSV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Marcel Barges scored to the left of an out of position Henning Elmer, making the score, 0-5. Henning Elmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klemens Aicher in the 82nd minute. Tommy Beneyto Arago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Henning Elmer made a huge save. Klemens Aicher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Elmer having to interfere. Henning Elmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel Barges's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Backenberg's Marcel Barges got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Backenberg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Strooterhörn FSV.
