Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cosimo Brenner got the match started through his kick off. Nordhorner FC were furious when Eric Höllen was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nordhorner FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Jonas Schnoor scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phil Strothmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 12 minutes, Cosimo Brenner made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Nordhorner FC's Phil Strothmann tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Mark Berlich managed to get in a good position for a shot. BVB's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Berlich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phil Strothmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonas Schnoor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Phil Strothmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The BVB fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when BVB's Cosimo Brenner looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th minute of the match Benedetto Hangl shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phil Strothmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Otto Siegert hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Mehmet Ali Schaffert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil Strothmann having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Cosimo Brenner managed to get in a good position for a shot. BVB's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosimo Brenner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phil Strothmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mark Berlich during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Nordhorner FC booed when BVB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Berlich didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered loudly when Reinald Nürnberger's long shot in the 38th minute became 1-3 when the ball went to the left of and passed Michael Elbert. In the 43rd minute, Cosimo Brenner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nordhorner FC's zone, Mehmet Ali Schaffert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phil Strothmann came out of the goal and Mehmet Ali Schaffert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Mehmet Ali Schaffert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phil Strothmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaspar Brunnemer was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosimo Brenner in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phil Strothmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Nordhorner FC defense, Patrick Oliver Stapel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Phil Strothmann. The Nordhorner FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Phil Strothmann should have stopped the shot. A collision led to BVB getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Mark Berlich hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Patrick Oliver Stapel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Jonas Schnoor fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jonas Schnoor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Phil Strothmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaspar Brunnemer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Elbert having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Mehmet Ali Schaffert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Nordhorner FC defense, Cosimo Brenner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Phil Strothmann. The Nordhorner FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Phil Strothmann should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Oliver Stapel in the 91st minute of play forced Nordhorner FC's goalkeeper Phil Strothmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cosimo Brenner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BVB's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
