Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Knut Uehlemann kicked off to start the match. Yussuf Schwunk's late challenge caught a TSV Lindau 1896's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yussuf Schwunk helped the player get up and apologised. Yussuf Schwunk kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Gabor Blohberger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Gutjahr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arminia Bielefeld's Fortunato Niggemann got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the game, one of Arminia Bielefeld:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gabor Blohberger had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Niels Heidkamp's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 19 played minutes TSV Lindau 1896 got a freekick which was hit by Bozo Binding. Fortunato Niggemann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Gerd Assmann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Fortunato Niggemann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. TSV Lindau 1896's Knut Uehlemann got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 38 minutes, Benjamin Gutjahr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TSV Lindau 1896's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Gutjahr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 played minutes Arminia Bielefeld got a freekick which was hit by Jörg Enkelmann. In the 41st minute Niels Heidkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabor Blohberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arminia Bielefeld's Gabor Blohberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Uehlemann in the 42nd minute of play. Uwe Breilmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, TSV Lindau 1896's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Niggemann came free, but Gerd Assmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fortunato Niggemann to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabor Blohberger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Uehlemann in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Arminia Bielefeld's goalkeeper Gabor Blohberger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthias W Kastener. In the 55th minute, Fortunato Niggemann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arminia Bielefeld fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 58 minutes into the match, TSV Lindau 1896's goal looked a bit too open when Jürgen Gömleksiz came free, but Gerd Assmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Arminia Bielefeld getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Fortunato Niggemann hit a great ball. Knut Uehlemann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Gabor Blohberger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jürgen Gömleksiz hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Jan Eckart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute Niels Heidkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabor Blohberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Gutjahr in the 74th minute of play forced Arminia Bielefeld's goalkeeper Gabor Blohberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Gutjahr kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthias W Kastener got free with Gabor Blohberger in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthias W Kastener in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabor Blohberger saved Arminia Bielefeld from getting behind. Uwe Breilmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd match minute, Arminia Bielefeld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Memet Breul to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
