Gottfried Bronnert started the match with the kick off. Ibbtown Digger's Manfred Brand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfried Bronnert in the 3rd minute of play. Gottfried Bronnert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Manfred Brand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaspar Brunnemer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaspar Brunnemer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Brand having to interfere. Manfred Brand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaspar Brunnemer in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Ricardo Mumme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nordhorner FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibbtown Digger the free kick. After 13 played minutes Nordhorner FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Mumme. Manfred Brand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gottfried Bronnert in the 19th minute of the match. When Nordhorner FC's Gottfried Bronnert in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibbtown Digger's goalie prevented a goal. Gottfried Bronnert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Manfred Brand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Nordhorner FC's Phil Strothmann got control of the ball when Olaf Rummel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 played minutes Ibbtown Digger got a freekick which was hit by Simon Bache. Gottfried Bronnert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Brand having to interfere. Ibbtown Digger's Manfred Brand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaspar Brunnemer in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Nordhorner FC booed when Ibbtown Digger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Kossendey didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gottfried Bronnert in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfred Brand saved Ibbtown Digger from getting behind. When Nordhorner FC's Kaspar Brunnemer in 45 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Manfred Brand guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Bache to make the kick off. Manfred Brand made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Kaspar Brunnemer sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ibbtown Digger's zone, Kaspar Brunnemer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfred Brand came out of the goal and Kaspar Brunnemer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nordhorner FC's Kaspar Brunnemer got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kaspar Brunnemer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Manfred Brand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Kaspar Brunnemer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Gottfried Bronnert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manfred Brand. The goal made the score 0-1. After having played for 70 minutes, Gottfried Bronnert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nordhorner FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gottfried Bronnert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gottfried Bronnert during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 74 minutes into the match, Ibbtown Digger's goal looked a bit too open when Gottfried Bronnert came free, but Manfred Brand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaspar Brunnemer struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Manfred Brand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nordhorner FC. After 78 played minutes Nordhorner FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Mumme. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Gottfried Bronnert got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some careless play in the Ibbtown Digger defense, Kaspar Brunnemer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manfred Brand. The Ibbtown Digger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manfred Brand should have stopped the shot. Kaspar Brunnemer came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Manfred Brand could save by the left post. In the 86th minute, Ibbtown Digger's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kaspar Brunnemer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ibbtown Digger's Manfred Brand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Ibbtown Digger from getting a goal against them. Simon Bache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil Strothmann having to interfere. Ricardo Mumme hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Simon Bache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nordhorner FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
