Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marek Adasch in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidel Peukert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Niels Rother hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The long shot by Lars Bischof in the 18th minute really tested Fidel Peukert's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Karl Labauve hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Safet Kohlstedt during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Hövelhof FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Safet Kohlstedt to maneuver through the defense. Luca Huthmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Burkhard Avenarius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Vladimir Steinbrück hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 29 in the game by Safet Kohlstedt from a close distance when the talented Fidel Peukert managed to make a qualified save. FC Boss Mannheim's players were relieved. Friedrich Gotthard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Marek Adasch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Peukert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marek Adasch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Friedrich Gotthard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Marek Adasch took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fidel Peukert to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in FC Boss Mannheim's zone, Marek Adasch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Peukert came out of the goal and Marek Adasch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fidel Peukert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Friedrich Gotthard in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Marek Adasch fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rüdiger Gil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Burkhard Avenarius got free with Luca Huthmann in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Marek Adasch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Friedrich Gotthard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Friedrich Gotthard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hövelhof FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Friedrich Gotthard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Peukert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Boss Mannheim's Fidel Peukert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Adasch in the 63rd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, FC Boss Mannheim's goal looked a bit too open when Friedrich Gotthard came free, but Fidel Peukert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Friedrich Gotthard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hövelhof FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Friedrich Gotthard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Boss Mannheim's Fidel Peukert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Adasch in the 69th minute of play. Friedrich Gotthard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fidel Peukert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Mark Sturz's late challenge caught a FC Boss Mannheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Sturz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Hövelhof FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Sturz to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Friedrich Gotthard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fidel Peukert was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Friedrich Gotthard struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Fidel Peukert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hövelhof FSV. Rüdiger Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luca Huthmann having to interfere. Hövelhof FSV's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
