Norbert Emig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ryan Germann's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Ingo Cavic hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Ryan Germann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 16th minute, Ettore Plückebaum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stephan Dabrock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrike Kramer in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Germann in the 32nd minute of play forced Boslar's goalkeeper Norbert Emig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryan Germann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryan Germann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Stefano Henrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Addo Hipp came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Polonia Neu-Ulm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Addo Hipp couldn't finish the play. Stephan Dabrock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Ralf in the 43rd minute of the match. Ryan Germann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norbert Emig having to make a save. If Stefano Henrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Stefano Henrich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 73rd minute Stefano Henrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Emig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
