Spectators: 6999 (Terracing: 5649, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Robert Hönes made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute Martin Baur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Witsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute of the match, Guy Rust tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saverio Indalecio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 7th minute, Robert Hönes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1.FC Mehlesdorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Rottne's zone, Robert Hönes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Witsch came out of the goal and Robert Hönes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jupp Moll kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Saverio Indalecio. That made the score 1-1 in the 12 minute of play. Robert Hönes might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uwe Witsch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Hönes ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Rottne's Jupp Moll got a free kick in the 18th minute. When 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Robert Hönes in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rottne's goalie prevented a goal. Guy Rust sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Robert Hönes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rottne's Uwe Witsch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Stephan Ziegler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Uwe Witsch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uwe Witsch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Hönes, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rottne's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dustin Meier was slow to take the kick. During this time 1.FC Mehlesdorf's players had a chance to rest. Dustin Meier made a great header on 1.FC Mehlesdorf's corner, it was just that Rottne's Uwe Witsch managed to reach the ball for a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rainer Gröber to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Rottne's Rainer Gröber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saverio Indalecio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 61st minute, Stephan Ziegler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Hönes might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uwe Witsch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Hönes ran back to his position shaking his head. Robert Hönes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Robert Hönes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rottne's zone, Robert Hönes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Witsch came out of the goal and Robert Hönes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Guy Rust fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rottne's protests and gave Guy Rust a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Hönes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Uwe Witsch came out and tried to block the shot, but Robert Hönes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 69th minute. After 74 minutes of play Rottne's Guy Rust was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 76th minute, 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Robert Hönes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. A collision led to 1.FC Mehlesdorf getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Martin Baur hit a great ball. Martin Baur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Witsch having to interfere. Martin Baur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Uwe Witsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Robert Hönes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded 1.FC Mehlesdorf left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rottne.
