Marc Schubeus's late challenge caught a SuCilginT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marc Schubeus helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023 got a freekick which was hit by Marc Schubeus. Gretel Marcian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eike Godenschwengen having to interfere. Eike Godenschwengen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gretel Marcian, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Detlef Russok made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Toni Nissen sent off a good shot on target. Robert Weniger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Oliver Schepers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Detlef Russok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunter Paulus in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Gunter Paulus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Detlef Russok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023's Gunter Paulus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Detlef Russok. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. When Toni Nissen came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Nissen couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, SuCilginT's goalkeeper Detlef Russok had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toni Nissen. 46 minutes into the match, SuCilginT's goal looked a bit too open when Gunter Paulus came free, but Detlef Russok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Detlef Russok stood somewhat misplaced when Gunter Paulus came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 47 minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Weniger to strike the kick off in the second half. When Oliver Schepers fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SuCilginT's protests and gave Oliver Schepers a yellow card for diving instead. Toni Nissen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Detlef Russok having to interfere. Detlef Russok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunter Paulus in the 83rd minute of the match. When Anton Buchta fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023's protests and gave Anton Buchta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Anton Buchta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the SuCilginT defense, Gunter Paulus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Detlef Russok. The SuCilginT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Detlef Russok should have stopped the shot. VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
