The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Meerhöfe's Marius Lohmiller got a free kick in the 6th minute. Gunter Huhn struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Nathan Hoefer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meerhöfe. If Marius Lohmiller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Forza FC's Nathan Hoefer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Forza FC from getting a goal against them. Gunter Huhn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matt Jansch struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Leon Schwantes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forza FC. Niko Reisinger kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Meerhöfe got a corner. Forza FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Graham Hösle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gunter Huhn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matt Jansch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Schwantes having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Jakob Waske hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matt Jansch in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Schwantes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gregor Pluta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leon Schwantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregor Pluta made a kick off. Nathan Hoefer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunter Huhn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Gregor Pluta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Schwantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Forza FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ali Klute hit a great ball. After 71 minutes, Gunter Huhn made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Forza FC's Nathan Hoefer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Gunter Huhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Forza FC's Nathan Hoefer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunter Huhn in the 78th minute of play. Leon Schwantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Jansch in the 79th minute of play. If Gregor Pluta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Forza FC's Gregor Pluta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Marius Lohmiller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Hoefer having to interfere. Bruno Bankmann's late challenge caught a Meerhöfe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Bankmann helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Forza FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Bankmann. 94 minutes into the game, Wilhelm Mört was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forza FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meerhöfe the free kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
