Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) HG Boggschdeif 04's Christo Rother shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Michael Gillen but with some difficulty. In the 8th minute, Dirk Höhne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Hörsten's Jason Freund tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Dieckmann in the 13th minute of play forced HG Boggschdeif 04's goalkeeper Volker Heide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaston Dieckmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hörsten's Gaston Dieckmann managed to work through HG Boggschdeif 04's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gaston Dieckmann dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Viktor Wulnikowski charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viktor Wulnikowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerald Ringelnatz in the 33rd minute of play forced HG Boggschdeif 04's goalkeeper Volker Heide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Volker Heide stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Dieckmann's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Gerald Ringelnatz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hörsten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerald Ringelnatz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Gaston Dieckmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hörsten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Volker Heide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerald Ringelnatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Dieckmann in the 46th minute of play forced HG Boggschdeif 04's goalkeeper Volker Heide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Karsten Pulter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karsten Pulter made a kick off. Karsten Pulter scored 1-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Gillen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Dirk Bittel came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the HG Boggschdeif 04 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Bittel couldn't finish the play. Gaston Dieckmann struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Volker Heide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hörsten. Karsten Pulter charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karsten Pulter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Hörsten's Gerald Ringelnatz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Volker Heide. Volker Heide yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. A collision led to HG Boggschdeif 04 getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Christo Rother hit a great ball. If Gerald Ringelnatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hörsten's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
