Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Norbert Haltmair started the match with the kick off. Otmar Wegner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Raffael Fröhlich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stelzen's supporters rose to their feet, but Raffael Fröhlich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olav Gross breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dix Schuster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Gostingen's Olav Gross got control of the ball when Otmar Wegner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stelzen's Dix Schuster was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olav Gross in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 23 minutes into the match, Stelzen's goal looked a bit too open when Niels Dörfler came free, but Hendrik Sprodowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Günter Benario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niels Dörfler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Otmar Wegner could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Olav Gross however easily saved by the left post. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gostingen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dix Schuster was slow to take the kick. During this time Stelzen's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Dix Schuster got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Olav Gross quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 45th minute, Otmar Wegner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Johannes Dettinger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hendrik Sprodowski. Stelzen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Olav Gross showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otmar Wegner in the 63rd minute of the match. Otmar Wegner might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olav Gross. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otmar Wegner ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stelzen's goalkeeper Hendrik Sprodowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raffael Fröhlich's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olav Gross read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Otmar Wegner might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olav Gross. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otmar Wegner ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, Gostingen's goal looked a bit too open when Raffael Fröhlich came free, but Olav Gross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Raffael Fröhlich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olav Gross was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 89 minutes into the match, Gostingen's goal looked a bit too open when Raffael Fröhlich came free, but Olav Gross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Niels Dörfler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gostingen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
