Spectators: 7514 (Terracing: 5636, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Steve Jager started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Steve Jager recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horst Bechstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudi Knecht having to interfere. Traugott Hunger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Ankleider having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Steve Jager notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Philcity's Markus Ankleider. Markus Ankleider was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 20 minutes, Walther Schaape mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Südstadt and the FC Philcity players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Walther Schaape hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Traugott Hunger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Ankleider having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Südstadt's Walther Schaape got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Traugott Hunger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Markus Ankleider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walther Schaape was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Walther Schaape kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The FC Philcity players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Südstadt were winning 0-1.

Rudi Knecht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horst Bechstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Mauritz Pörschke received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Markus Ankleider came out and tried to block the shot, but Mauritz Pörschke slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 57th minute. Traugott Hunger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Ankleider having to interfere. The long shot by Niklas Flock in the 64th minute really tested Markus Ankleider's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Horst Bechstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Traugott Hunger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Traugott Hunger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Markus Ankleider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Philcity's Leif-Eric Göhner got a free kick in the 77th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Traugott Hunger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Südstadt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Traugott Hunger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Traugott Hunger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Markus Ankleider made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, FC Südstadt's goal looked a bit too open when Horst Bechstein came free, but Rudi Knecht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudi Knecht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julius Walloch in the 86th minute of the match. After 86 played minutes FC Südstadt got a freekick which was hit by Till Nolting. With his leg Markus Ankleider managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when FC Südstadt's Traugott Hunger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Traugott Hunger got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Philcity's zone, Traugott Hunger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Ankleider came out of the goal and Traugott Hunger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Südstadt played a much better game than FC Philcity and deserved their victory. The FC Philcity players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
