After some careless play in the FC Philcity defense, Edo von Witzendorff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markus Ankleider. The FC Philcity fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markus Ankleider should have stopped the shot. After 14 minutes of play, FC Philcity's Julius Walloch made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hardi Musser was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Hartmut Georgii in the 24th minute of play forced FC Philcity's goalkeeper Markus Ankleider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Oligo booed when FC Philcity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif-Eric Göhner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Horst Bechstein managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Philcity's supporters rose to their feet, but Horst Bechstein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hardi Musser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julius Walloch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Hardi Musser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Hartmut Georgii made a precise shot to the right of Markus Ankleider. FC Philcity's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edo von Witzendorff in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Ankleider prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hartmut Georgii fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Ankleider having to interfere. If Edo von Witzendorff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horst Bechstein to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Philcity's zone, Beppo Annilker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Ankleider came out of the goal and Beppo Annilker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Markus Ankleider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edo von Witzendorff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Markus Ankleider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edo von Witzendorff, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Philcity's Bernhard Steffel got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match, Hartmut Georgii got a very nice opportunity to score, but Markus Ankleider was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hartmut Georgii took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markus Ankleider. Markus Ankleider dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 73 minutes into the match, FC Philcity's goalkeeper Markus Ankleider had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hartmut Georgii. Hardi Musser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julius Walloch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddy Durry's late challenge caught a FC Philcity's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Durry helped the player get up and apologised. Freddy Durry kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Hardi Musser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Walloch, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Hartmut Georgii could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Markus Ankleider made a huge save. Palle Zehle charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Palle Zehle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Philcity's Palle Zehle got a free kick in the 91st minute. Hartmut Georgii spun around in front of the goal 93 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC Philcity's goal. In the 94th minute, Bernhard Steffel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edo von Witzendorff in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Ankleider prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Oligo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
