Jürn Sachs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traugott Hunger in the 4th minute of play. Mike Backhaus struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Rudi Knecht didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kein Bock mehr. Felix Lemli hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Südstadt booed when Kein Bock mehr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Siese didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Arndt Wittbusch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jürn Sachs. Kein Bock mehr's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arndt Wittbusch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Kein Bock mehr's goalkeeper Jürn Sachs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arndt Wittbusch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traugott Hunger in the 23rd minute of play forced Kein Bock mehr's goalkeeper Jürn Sachs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Jürn Sachs managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when FC Südstadt's Arndt Wittbusch fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Traugott Hunger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jürn Sachs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl Bachmann charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl Bachmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 30 minutes, Traugott Hunger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Südstadt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Traugott Hunger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, FC Südstadt's Jürn Sachs threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Traugott Hunger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Traugott Hunger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

If Arndt Wittbusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Bachmann kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Mike Backhaus was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Kein Bock mehr's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kein Bock mehr's zone, Arndt Wittbusch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jürn Sachs came out of the goal and Arndt Wittbusch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mike Backhaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Traugott Hunger might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jürn Sachs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Traugott Hunger ran back to his position shaking his head. After 86 minutes, Till Nolting mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Südstadt and the Kein Bock mehr players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes FC Südstadt got a freekick which was hit by Till Nolting. In the 89th minute Arndt Wittbusch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jürn Sachs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Südstadt's Walther Schaape got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 94th match minute, Kein Bock mehr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Bachmann to maneuver through the defense. If Traugott Hunger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Südstadt fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kein Bock mehr had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
