Arjen Brockmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glenn Ruck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubbo Marschner in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glenn Ruck saved Zschortau from getting behind. Siegmund Buhrmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dietrich Bannenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Germania Haithabu's Ubbo Marschner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Glenn Ruck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Germania Haithabu played a much better game than Zschortau and deserved their victory. The Zschortau players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
