Timotheus Gerharz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Feuerstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Marienau's Friedrich Heinrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Roth in the 38th minute of play. Wayne Döring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Friedrich Heinrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raik Große Verspohl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Friedrich Heinrich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After some careless play in the Marienau defense, Kristian Lingenfelder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Friedrich Heinrich. The Marienau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Friedrich Heinrich should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Anthony Göbel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Marienau players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. 1. FC Jamo were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Günther Reckmüller was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Marienau's zone, Anthony Göbel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Friedrich Heinrich came out of the goal and Anthony Göbel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Wayne Döring kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Friedrich Heinrich. That made the score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. 1. FC Jamo's Ronnie Naber couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Marienau. Anthony Göbel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Friedrich Heinrich skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Anthony Göbels short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Friedrich Heinrich to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 1. FC Jamo's Anthony Göbel got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Marius Feuerstein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marienau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1. FC Jamo the free kick. Marius Feuerstein kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Marienau's Friedrich Heinrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Göbel in the 75th minute of play. During the 75th minute of the match Arthur Bister completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arthur Bister a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Friedrich Heinrich was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Anthony Göbel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
