Aachen West's Stefan Raps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekkehard Mintzel in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Lederbach's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Lattus came free, but Sebald Majewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Hadrian Hägele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lederbach's Sebald Majewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Tözen in the 15th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Lederbach's Martin Koenecke slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stefan Raps. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Stefan Raps made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ekkehard Mintzel sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute Alexander Dahlinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Raps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Dahlinger in the 29th minute of play forced Aachen West's goalkeeper Stefan Raps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute of the match, David Urban tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stefan Raps saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Aachen West's Stefan Raps got control of the ball when Ekkehard Mintzel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raiko Winkler's late challenge caught a Lederbach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Tözen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ekkehard Mintzel fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lederbach's protests and gave Ekkehard Mintzel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Lederbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekkehard Mintzel to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodolfo Tözen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Aachen West getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lederbach reached it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lederbach fans cheered their team off the field, for while Aachen West had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
