Klemens Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Tittmann having to interfere. If Theo Baltermanns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasmus Boxmann scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Tittmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Benteler FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Theo Baltermanns fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 19th minute Alfonso Lendemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Tittmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnd Benken received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hasso Rauh came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnd Benken slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rasmus Boxmann in the 25th minute of play forced Hundeort FSV's goalkeeper Marcus Tittmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theo Baltermanns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hasso Rauh having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hundeort FSV defense, Rasmus Boxmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Tittmann. The Hundeort FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Tittmann should have stopped the shot. Arnd Benken struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Hasso Rauh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hundeort FSV. 2-2 became the score in the 42nd minute when Arnd Benken elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hundeort FSV's Gabriel Martinek got a free kick in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Arnd Benken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hundeort FSV's Theo Baltermanns got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Theo Baltermanns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Benteler FC's Karl Böcker got a free kick in the 80th minute. Arnd Benken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hasso Rauh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnd Benken, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Arnd Benken ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hasso Rauh was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Rasmus Boxmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benteler FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rasmus Boxmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Tittmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95thth minute of the game Arnd Benken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Benteler FC's Hasso Rauh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Theo Baltermanns struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Hasso Rauh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hundeort FSV.
