The Gaugrehweiler fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sven Täger's late challenge caught a Dynamo Lichtenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Täger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Sven Täger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Gaugrehweiler fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Gaugrehweiler's Laurence Gotthelf looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Gaugrehweiler were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Dynamo Lichtenberg's zone, Sven Täger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly came out of the goal and Sven Täger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurence Gotthelf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gero Olowka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Riedel having to interfere. Laurence Gotthelf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes Dynamo Lichtenberg got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Leibrecht. Dynamo Lichtenberg's Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Gotthelf in the 66th minute of play. Frederik Strobl was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Laurence Gotthelf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kaspar Kurbjuweit charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaspar Kurbjuweit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Kaspar Kurbjuweit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Gotthelf in the 93rd minute of play. Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Gaugrehweiler's Laurence Gotthelf. But to his dismay, Laurence Gotthelf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Dynamo Lichtenberg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gaugrehweiler were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
