Kai von Scheliha hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Eichenzell FSV's Rudi Gudat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Eichenzell FSV from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eichenzell FSV's goalkeeper Rudi Gudat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jürgen Glöden hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes Harrie FSV got a freekick which was hit by Tim Müller. 17 minutes into the match, Klaudius Scherer notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Eichenzell FSV's Rudi Gudat. Rudi Gudat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 21 played minutes Harrie FSV got a freekick which was hit by Gero Steffen. Emanuel Kilz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Knut Schaaf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Harrie FSV's zone, Peter-Stefan Zeuner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Knut Schaaf came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Eichenzell FSV's Laurenz Thumser. But to his dismay, Laurenz Thumser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Jan Janig fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eichenzell FSV's protests and gave Jan Janig a yellow card for diving instead. Knut Schaaf came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Eichenzell FSV's Laurenz Thumser. But to his dismay, Laurenz Thumser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Peter-Stefan Zeuner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Kilz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Knut Schaaf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

53 minutes into the match, Harrie FSV's goalkeeper Knut Schaaf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Kilz. In the 59th minute Laurenz Thumser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Knut Schaaf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Laurenz Thumser rounded Harrie FSV's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. With a little luck, Harrie FSV's Knut Schaaf got control of the ball when Emanuel Kilz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Friedrich Hörsting cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Rudi Gudat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 83 minutes, Hemmo Demelbauer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eichenzell FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hemmo Demelbauer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Laurenz Thumser recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Knut Schaaf. Laurenz Thumser showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Hemmo Demelbauer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Knut Schaaf made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hemmo Demelbauer got free with Knut Schaaf in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eichenzell FSV played a much better game than Harrie FSV and deserved their victory. The Harrie FSV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
