After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Erko Peelen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bokelerostermoor's supporters rose to their feet, but Erko Peelen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conny Schwarz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niclas Behrenbeck struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Conny Schwarz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bokelerostermoor. After a defensive mix-up in BSG Gera Süd's zone, Erko Peelen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conny Schwarz came out of the goal and Erko Peelen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Behrenbeck in the 25th minute of play forced BSG Gera Süd's goalkeeper Conny Schwarz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute of the game, Cees Lohrmann landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 29 minutes into the game, Matthias Ahlfeld was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bokelerostermoor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BSG Gera Süd the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, BSG Gera Süd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Paulus to maneuver through the defense. If Erko Peelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otmar Steffens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskar Ternes, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Malte Koppelberg fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Conny Schwarz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the match, BSG Gera Süd's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Behrenbeck came free, but Conny Schwarz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Reinhold Meckel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Schwarz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oskar Ternes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bokelerostermoor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
