Spectators: 7451 (Terracing: 5590, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Thorsten Kunze took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henning Oyan. Henning Oyan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 9 minutes, Thorsten Kunze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Gengenbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorsten Kunze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stephan Ufers short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Alf Harder to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anno Ollert's late challenge caught a Natural Born Grillers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anno Ollert helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Anno Ollert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hartmut Jägerstätter took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henning Oyan. Henning Oyan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 26th minute, Stephan Ufer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henning Oyan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorsten Kunze, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Hartmut Jägerstätter managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Gengenbach's supporters rose to their feet, but Hartmut Jägerstätter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henning Oyan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thorsten Kunze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thorsten Kunze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Henning Oyan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Natural Born Grillers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SV Gengenbach were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ron Ihns was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Natural Born Grillers's Stephan Ufer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alf Harder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Philipp Schmidt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alf Harder. SV Gengenbach's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Hartmut Jägerstätter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Gengenbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hartmut Jägerstätter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Stephan Ufer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 68 minutes of play, Natural Born Grillers's Stephan Ufer made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alf Harder was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thorsten Kunze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hartmut Jägerstätter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SV Gengenbach defense, Ron Ihns kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alf Harder. The SV Gengenbach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf Harder should have stopped the shot. Stephan Ufer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alf Harder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stephan Ufer struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Alf Harder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Natural Born Grillers. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
