The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 94 minutes into the match, SV Bremen Nord's goal looked a bit too open when Elmar Ernst came free, but Franz Jäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benni Kuttner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SV Bremen Nord booed when Fc Frankenhain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Glowacz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the game, SV Bremen Nord's Max Nierlein nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Kurth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SV Bremen Nord players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
