After some careless play in the Rupennest defense, Thierry Merten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Frohwein. The Rupennest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Frohwein should have stopped the shot. But to his dismay, Albert Achtziger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Gismund Heidingsfelder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dietmar Pollan having to interfere. Rupennest's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
