Natural Born Grillers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rupennest the free kick. The supporters of Rupennest booed when Natural Born Grillers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Schumann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henning Oyan came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Rupennest's Karl Plaaten. But to his dismay, Karl Plaaten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephan Ufer in the 13th minute of play forced Rupennest's goalkeeper Rafael Frohwein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Ron Ihns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Frohwein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gismund Heidingsfelder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Henning Oyan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Natural Born Grillers getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Tillmann Marks hit a great ball. Karl Plaaten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. The audience was convinced that Ron Ihns's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Frohwein was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 35 minutes into the match, Rupennest's Karl Plaaten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henning Oyan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 37 in the game by Karl Plaaten from a close distance when the talented Henning Oyan managed to make a qualified save. Natural Born Grillers's players were relieved. Henning Oyan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gismund Heidingsfelder's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Gismund Heidingsfelder struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Henning Oyan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rupennest. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ron Ihns to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frido Rabe during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frido Rabe hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Natural Born Grillers's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Plaaten came free, but Henning Oyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Natural Born Grillers's zone, Karl Plaaten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Oyan came out of the goal and Karl Plaaten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Natural Born Grillers's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Plaaten came free, but Henning Oyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rupennest's Gismund Heidingsfelder got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermann Vohland hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Gismund Heidingsfelder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Henning Oyan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natural Born Grillers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl Plaaten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Gismund Heidingsfelder struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Henning Oyan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rupennest. Ron Ihns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Rafael Frohwein made a huge save. Rafael Frohwein made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Stephan Ufer sent off a good shot on target. When the referee ended the match the Rupennest players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
