In the 23rd minute Dag Ehlert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ragnar Künast saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Lysander Kirchner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serge Thieltges charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serge Thieltges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Max Nierlein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Schierenplack FSV's Bernd Asmus got a free kick in the 38th minute. Rainier Hildebrand charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rainier Hildebrand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Rainier Hildebrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Max Nierlein to strike the kick off in the second half. Franz Jäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lysander Kirchner in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to SV Bremen Nord getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Carsten Haase hit a great ball. Theodor Humke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz Jäck having to interfere. After 77 played minutes SV Bremen Nord got a freekick which was hit by Max Nierlein. After 81st play minutes Max Nierlein shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ragnar Künast and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Schierenplack FSV's Theodor Humke got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Max Nierlein made a precise shot to the right of Ragnar Künast. Schierenplack FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Benni Kuttner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Schierenplack FSV supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SV Bremen Nord's performance. The match ended with a win for SV Bremen Nord.
