After some careless play in the Schierenplack FSV defense, Ronnie Benesch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ragnar Künast. The Schierenplack FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ragnar Künast should have stopped the shot. After 34 played minutes Schierenplack FSV got a freekick which was hit by Bernd Asmus. After a rather tough play, Schierenplack FSV's Theodor Humke got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Detlef Grabosch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eintracht Frankfurt's supporters rose to their feet, but Detlef Grabosch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ragnar Künast breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronnie Benesch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ragnar Künast tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Schierenplack FSV's Ragnar Künast played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronnie Benesch in the 61st minute of play. Detlef Grabosch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 played minutes Schierenplack FSV got a freekick which was hit by Serge Thieltges. After a rather tough play, Eintracht Frankfurt's Johannes Borger got a free kick in the 67th minute. Schierenplack FSV's Serge Thieltges managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mario Reimers in the 84 minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theodor Humke during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Theodor Humke kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
