Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ralf Heintges started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herwig Heidrich during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Genheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herwig Heidrich to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, one of Lühe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jari Flemming made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willy Rottmair in the 11th minute of play. Knut Gern's late challenge caught a Genheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Knut Gern helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Lühe got a freekick which was hit by Knut Gern. In the 22nd minute, Jörg Jütte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jari Flemming was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 29thth minute of the game Willy Rottmair who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lühe's Jari Flemming was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronnie Yüksel took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carsten Breneizeris. Carsten Breneizeris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Willy Rottmair's late challenge caught a Lühe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willy Rottmair helped the player get up and apologised. Willy Rottmair kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Ronnie Yüksel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes Lühe got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz Dobrindt. In the 40th minute of the match Friedbert Zettler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jari Flemming showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Genheim booed when Lühe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Gern didn't get a good kick on the ball. Willy Rottmair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Jörg Jütte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jörg Jütte to strike the kick off in the second half. When Lühe's Ronnie Yüksel in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Genheim's goalie prevented a goal. Ronnie Yüksel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Carsten Breneizeris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carsten Breneizeris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Heintges in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Genheim getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Carlos Fedde hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Ronnie Yüksel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carsten Breneizeris. Genheim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronnie Yüksel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Carsten Breneizeris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Heintges in the 66th minute of the match. Jari Flemming showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörg Jütte, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lühe's zone, Willy Rottmair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jari Flemming came out of the goal and Willy Rottmair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carsten Breneizeris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Heintges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jörg Jütte had several of the Lühe's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Jari Flemming as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ralf Heintges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Jörg Jütte fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Lühe's Jari Flemming got control of the ball when Willy Rottmair tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronnie Yüksel struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Carsten Breneizeris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lühe. After a rather tough play, Genheim's Eckhard Brantwein got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
