Leopold Schikaneder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Schroth in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, FC Weitefeld's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Schroth came free, but Leopold Schikaneder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 51st minute, Basil Bannenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Wosnitza hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Isidor Heising charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidor Heising the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Weitefeld booed when Billstedter SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidor Heising didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Weitefeld's Erik Adler got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basil Bannenberg during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ronaldo Thiele's late challenge caught a FC Weitefeld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chants of Billstedter SV echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as FC Weitefeld had held the ball for most of the match.
