Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raimar Kahn took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Vechta FSV's Norbert Lienert got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Ulli Blind shot the penalty kick right outside the post. A collision led to Jackenhof getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Uwe Grieshaber hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Vechta FSV's Zinédine Kordowski broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Vechta FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Rebe came free, but Helmut Gehl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Jackenhof booed when Vechta FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Reckufer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Adnan Dehnenkamp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Helmut Gehl. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vechta FSV's goalkeeper Helmut Gehl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Markus Rebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Vechta FSV's Helmut Gehl got control of the ball when Adnan Dehnenkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Biehl in the 37th minute of play forced Jackenhof's goalkeeper Hansel Knop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jackenhof getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Uwe Grieshaber hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes, Vechta FSV's Zinédine Kordowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hansel Knop came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vechta FSV reached it. Markus Rebe struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Helmut Gehl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jackenhof. Adnan Dehnenkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Markus Rebe to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adnan Dehnenkamp in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmut Gehl saved Vechta FSV from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Vechta FSV's zone, Adnan Dehnenkamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmut Gehl came out of the goal and Adnan Dehnenkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Vechta FSV getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Alois Glückler hit a great ball. Markus Rebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Vechta FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Rebe came free, but Helmut Gehl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jackenhof's Markus Rebe in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vechta FSV's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philipp Moock during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hansel Knop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Helmut Gehl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markus Rebe's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adnan Dehnenkamp in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmut Gehl saved Vechta FSV from getting behind. After 81 played minutes Vechta FSV got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Lienert. Adnan Dehnenkamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmut Gehl having to interfere. Helmut Gehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Rebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 87 minutes of play, Jackenhof's Markus Rebe made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Helmut Gehl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Helmut Gehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adnan Dehnenkamp in the 91st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Markus Rebe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmut Gehl was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Jackenhof were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vechta FSV for a fine match.
