Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Till Mieth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörg Jütte in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, Govelin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudi Uedickoven to maneuver through the defense. Willy Rottmair succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 19th playminute. Govelin's Till Mieth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Govelin from getting a goal against them. Jörg Jütte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Till Mieth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute of the match Friedbert Zettler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Till Mieth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jörg Jütte struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Till Mieth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genheim. After a defensive mix-up in Govelin's zone, Jörg Jütte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Till Mieth came out of the goal and Jörg Jütte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willy Rottmair's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Till Mieth skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Genheim's Jörg Jütte got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Govelin's zone, Willy Rottmair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Till Mieth came out of the goal and Willy Rottmair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Govelin's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Willy Rottmair fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 53 minutes Govelin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Friedbert Zettler who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Genheim's Friedbert Zettler to fire away a dangerous shot which Till Mieth despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 55 minutes, Herwig Heidrich mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genheim and the Govelin players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Govelin booed when Genheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herwig Heidrich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genheim's Herwig Heidrich got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Herwig Heidrich off the ground. A collision led to Genheim getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Herwig Heidrich hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efraim Caspers in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carsten Breneizeris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Govelin's Efraim Caspers got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willy Rottmair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Till Mieth having to interfere. Carlos Fedde hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Willy Rottmair got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eckhard Brantwein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Till Mieth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willy Rottmair struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Till Mieth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genheim. Willy Rottmair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eckhard Brantwein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Till Mieth having to interfere. If Willy Rottmair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Genheim had played much better football throughout.
