Leonid Thommessen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. BVB Borussia Dortmund 09's Franz Brecht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieter Löw in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Leonid Thommessen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BVB Borussia Dortmund 09's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonid Thommessen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dieter Löw's late challenge caught a BVB Borussia Dortmund 09's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dieter Löw helped the player get up and apologised. Dieter Löw kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Reaper crew's Edmund Glomb got a free kick in the 15th minute. Cliff Wanner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamal Hollekamp in the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Reaper crew's zone, Leonid Thommessen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cliff Wanner came out of the goal and Leonid Thommessen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Reaper crew's goalkeeper Cliff Wanner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonid Thommessen. Leonid Thommessen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cliff Wanner having to interfere. BVB Borussia Dortmund 09's Florian Busche got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Ibrahim Diefenbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th match minute, BVB Borussia Dortmund 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilja Bernstein to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Leonid Thommessen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cliff Wanner. The goal made the score 1-0. Cliff Wanner was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Roger Witty capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roger Witty really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonid Thommessen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cliff Wanner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonid Thommessen's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Christen got free with Franz Brecht in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Florian Busche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes Reaper crew got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Glomb. After a defensive mix-up in Reaper crew's zone, Jamal Hollekamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cliff Wanner came out of the goal and Jamal Hollekamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Leonid Thommessen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reaper crew's Cliff Wanner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonid Thommessen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute of the match BVB Borussia Dortmund 09 got a corner. Reaper crew's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jamal Hollekamp ran over to the corner to take the kick. Florian Busche made a great header on BVB Borussia Dortmund 09's corner, it was just that Reaper crew's Cliff Wanner managed to reach the ball for a save. Leonid Thommessen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonid Thommessen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cliff Wanner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Roger Witty had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cliff Wanner. Reaper crew's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Witty was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Leonid Thommessen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Cliff Wanner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Leonid Thommessen in the 87th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Cliff Wanner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonid Thommessen in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Dieter Löw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Leonid Thommessen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cliff Wanner was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. BVB Borussia Dortmund 09 fully deserved thier win.
