Golo Römer scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jari Flemming, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st match minute, Lühe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yannick Stolzenberg to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Lühe got a freekick which was hit by Knut Gern. Ali Ebbenga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Billstedter SV's goal looked a bit too open when Ronnie Yüksel came free, but Max Mistol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Golo Römer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jari Flemming. Golo Römer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Marc Schroth made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 54 in the game by Ralf Heintges from a close distance when the talented Max Mistol managed to make a qualified save. Billstedter SV's players were relieved. Jari Flemming took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Schroth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lühe's Frederik Beide got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 78th minute, Ronnie Yüksel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Max Mistol was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Marc Schroth blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jari Flemming having to make a save. Danko Heffungs hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lühe booed when Billstedter SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Thiele didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marc Schroth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronnie Yüksel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Mistol having to interfere. After 96 minutes, Knut Gern mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lühe and the Billstedter SV players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lühe getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Knut Gern hit a great ball.
