Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vaclav Nahles took the kick off in the first half of the match. Wattenscheid were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Escape's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Achim Weidenhammer took the corner. Achim Weidenhammer made a great header on Wattenscheid's corner, it was just that Escape's Don Nebel managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 10th minute, Fabian Liche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute, Mathias Dingeldein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Robert Neuenhaus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wattenscheid's Albrecht Laing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute Vaclav Nahles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Nebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vaclav Nahles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Nebel having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Don Nebel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Escape's zone, Vaclav Nahles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Don Nebel came out of the goal and Vaclav Nahles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaclav Nahles in the 36th minute of play forced Escape's goalkeeper Don Nebel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Don Nebel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vaclav Nahles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. Fabian Liche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Leutheusser during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Don Nebel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaclav Nahles, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Escape:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wattenscheid:s goal. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Wattenscheid. Achim Weidenhammer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Don Nebel. 3-0. Vaclav Nahles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Nebel having to interfere. Vaclav Nahles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Don Nebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Don Nebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaclav Nahles in the 80th minute of the match. Don Nebel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Liche went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Vaclav Nahles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Don Nebel was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Wattenscheid players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
