Spectators: 7537 (Terracing: 5654, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Harry Scheike took the kick off in the first half of the match. Eugen Rille showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswald Bothe, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. A collision led to FC Schnolli getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Zlatko Kröger hit a great ball. Oswald Bothe charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oswald Bothe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Oswald Bothe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Hildenbrand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Tobias Eichhorn made a huge save. In the 11th minute, Ludwig Cavic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harry Scheike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Eugen Rille tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobias Eichhorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Gerdes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Vito Betz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Eichhorn came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Schnolli's Marcel Hildenbrand. But to his dismay, Marcel Hildenbrand quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some careless play in the FC Schnolli defense, Oswald Bothe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugen Rille. The FC Schnolli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugen Rille should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, FC Buhmann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lutz Tengstedt to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lutz Tengstedt in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Rille prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 44 minutes, Oswald Bothe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Buhmann's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswald Bothe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Harry Scheike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Eugen Rille was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The FC Schnolli players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Buhmann were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frans Gerdes to make the kick off. FC Schnolli's Eugen Rille played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Scheike in the 54th minute of play. Oswald Bothe in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eugen Rille, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Lutz Tengstedt fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Buhmann's protests and gave Lutz Tengstedt a yellow card for diving instead. Tobias Eichhorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Gerdes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes of play, FC Buhmann's Oswald Bothe made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugen Rille was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frans Gerdes struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Tobias Eichhorn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Schnolli. After 79 minutes, Ludwig Cavic mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Buhmann and the FC Schnolli players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes FC Buhmann got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Cavic. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lutz Tengstedt in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugen Rille saved FC Schnolli from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, FC Schnolli's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Scheike came free, but Eugen Rille reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Oswald Bothe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugen Rille was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 90th minute, Oswald Bothe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugen Rille was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. FC Schnolli's Eugen Rille played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Scheike in the 96th minute of play. Oswald Bothe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Eugen Rille made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded FC Buhmann left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Schnolli.
