In the 19th minute Benni Ostmeyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Rille saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Schnolli's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ulf Repplinger was slow to take the kick. During this time Saar FC's players had a chance to rest. Ulf Repplinger made a great header on Saar FC's corner, it was just that FC Schnolli's Eugen Rille managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to FC Schnolli getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Frans Gerdes hit a great ball. Eugen Rille stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benni Ostmeyer's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute, York Uken ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugen Rille was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 36th minute, York Uken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, FC Schnolli's goal looked a bit too open when Volkmar Nussbaum came free, but Eugen Rille reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Saar FC's Benni Ostmeyer in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Volkmar Nussbaum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Volkmar Nussbaum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Rille breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benni Ostmeyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Eugen Rille tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugen Rille showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benni Ostmeyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Helmut Behnisch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Fabian Klatt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Klatt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Rille breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th match minute, FC Schnolli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helmut Behnisch to maneuver through the defense. Benni Ostmeyer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Eugen Rille skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 69 played minutes FC Schnolli got a freekick which was hit by Carl Rewer. FC Schnolli's Eugen Rille played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benni Ostmeyer in the 73rd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, FC Schnolli's goal looked a bit too open when Volkmar Nussbaum came free, but Eugen Rille reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
